Your privacy matters. This page explains what information Qrin handles, why it may be needed, and how the application treats information when you scan or create QR codes.

Qrin does not require an account to use the app.
No cloud storage
Your QR data is not stored in the cloud by Qrin.
Data collection
Qrin collects only the information necessary to provide its core features — scanning QR codes and creating QR codes. We do not collect personal information unless you choose to provide it (for example, when creating a QR code for a contact or email).
The app may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, and basic usage data to ensure the app functions correctly and to improve the user experience.
Camera and QR information
When you choose to scan a QR code, Qrin will request access to your device's camera. The image is used only to read the QR code and is not stored by Qrin. Information contained in the QR code (such as a URL, text, or contact details) is processed only for the purpose of completing the requested action.
User-created content
If you create a QR code, the content you enter (e.g. text, email, phone number, Wi-Fi details, location, etc.) is processed locally by the app and used only for generating the QR code. Qrin does not store this content on our servers.

Sharing
When you choose to share a QR code you've created, the data is only passed to the app or service you select (e.g. WhatsApp, Messages, email). Qrin does not track or log who you share with, and does not receive a copy of anything you share.
Third-party services
Qrin integrates a small, carefully chosen set of third parties — only where required to deliver a core feature.
Apple App Store
Distributes the iOS app. Required for downloads.
Google Play Store
Distributes the Android app. Required for downloads.
Firebase Crashlytics
Anonymous crash reports. Opt-in only, off by default.
Google Mobile Ads
Single non-intrusive banner. Never personalized.
Advertising and analytics
Qrin displays a single, non-intrusive banner ad served by Google Mobile Ads. This ad is never personalized — no tracking identifiers are used to build a profile of you. We do not integrate any third-party analytics that identify you personally.
Children's privacy
Qrin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children — in fact, we don't collect personal information from anyone. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used Qrin in a way that concerns you, please contact us at privacy@qrin.app.
Data security
Because we don't run servers, there's nothing on our end to breach. Your data lives on your device and is protected by your device's own security — screen lock, encryption, and OS-level isolation.
On-device only
Everything Qrin stores lives in your device's private app sandbox — the same place every other app keeps its data.
Delete anytime
Uninstalling Qrin removes all locally stored data. There is nothing to delete on our side because there is nothing on our side.
Data retention
Qrin retains no data on any server. Locally stored information — scan history, created QR codes, app preferences — stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
International users
Qrin is designed for users worldwide. Because we don't transfer any data across borders, there are no international data transfer concerns to disclose. Your data stays where you are.
User rights
Even though we don't collect personal data, you still have full control — because it's your device and your data.

Everything is on your device.
Right to delete
Uninstall the app; it's gone.
Right to opt out
Crash reporting is off by default.
Right to portability
Export any QR you create.
Right to correct
Edit any QR before sharing.
Right to be forgotten
Nothing to forget on our end.
Policy changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll add an in-app notice the first time you open Qrin after the update. We will never reduce your privacy protections without telling you clearly.
